About Me

I was born Gwendoline Kay Boyter in St. Andrews, Scotland and continue to use this as my artist name in honour of my heritage.  Recognized locally as Wendy Marchand, I am now located in Tiny, Ontario, Canada where I am married, retired and living my best life.  In my art practice, I am drawn to feminist issues encompassing themes related to gender equality, women's rights, and social justice. I aim to produce art that celebrates the multifaceted nature of women, their strengths, and their stories by challenging societal norms yet promote gender justice and equality in all aspects of life.  As a visual artist, I have a special interest in photography, painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
