G.K.Boyter was born in St. Andrews, Scotland and is now from Tiny Township, Ontario, Canada.  In April 2023, Boyter completed her final year of the Fine Art Advanced program at Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario, graduating with Honours. Boyter has a special interest in painting, sculpture, and printmaking.  From a young age, Boyter was involved in the performing arts and photography before choosing a career as a police officer with the RCMP.  After nearly 28 years in both British Columbia and Ontario, Boyter retired for mental health reasons and became involved in the local Women’s Cooperative Art Circle. During Covid, the group created a group Covid-19 project which received a permanent place for show by the Township of Tiny in the community of Lafontaine.  Boyter also belongs to the Barrie Art Club receiving Artist of the Month and Quest Art School and Gallery in Midland where in 2020, her work was selected to appear in the TD Thor Wealth Management Juried Exhibition “Quest for the Environment”.  Most recently, Boyter received two Scholarship Awards of Excellence for 2022 and 2023 at Georgian College, Barrie as well as the Fine Art "Excellence in Studio" award for 2023.  You can find some of Boyter’s artwork on display at Tiny Hub Restaurant in Lafontaine, Ontario.
